Our Team

The origins of Codex Computer Services date back to September 2015, when Phillip Steuber enrolled at Georgetown University as a first-year undergraduate. Eager to learn and in need of a way to help pay his way through college, Phillip was drawn to the McDonough School of Business Technology Center, which offered one of the highest paying jobs on campus and the ability to learn about IT administration and support.

Scott Donaldson managed the IT help desk at the MSB Tech Center and oversaw student employees. He and Phillip quickly hit it off, developing a friendship as well as a mentorship that has lasted over a decade now. Over those four years, Phillip excelled at the Tech Center, working all the way up to Student Manager of a team of 50. While Phillip graduated with a degree in International Politics, he loved technology and learned so much from Scott that he decided to stick with it. He first worked in IT at Apple, then George Washington University, and finally returned to Georgetown where he worked full time with Scott overseeing IT administration and support for the entire business school.

Scott had always wanted to take the leap into IT consulting and support for businesses, but he needed a partner. After working side by side with Phillip full time, he knew he had found the right person. The two left Georgetown together and founded Codex Computer Services in April 2023, ready to supercharge small businesses with decades of enterprise IT experience.
